My Love For History (Summary of some of the events I like in History) Part 1

Been watching a lot of movies lately and documentaries about the world, specially Europe since every single video in youtube's history bin is about Europe. I'm not complaining though ^^ LOOL.

History is my favorite subject which everyone from my class hates back in high school. I don't know but history really fascinates me. Even though I believe that half of history is a lie since the one who always writes the history is the winner of the game.

Anyways. I do not love all the history thingies, I don't like reading about the present history, the one after World War II. It's too political and how everybody must do this, maintain this, restrict this. Even though the world deny it, the whole world is completely under a regime of a single Empire. Take your pick which Empire do you want the world to be under with.

Speaking of Empires, I like how Queen Victoria of the English Empire conquered the whole of Europe without even the need of killing the royal family of each and every country at a bloody war and how her blood shaken the royal houses of all Europe. If you're not fond of history you might not understand me. I'll explain.

Queen Victoria of England has so many sons and daughters, 9 if I remember it right, and of course her children will have and already had children of their own. Which made the family of Queen Victoria even bigger. The children and grandchildren of Queen Victoria spread all through out Europe and married into royal families across the European continent thus earning one of her famous nickname - the Grandmother of all Europe. Unfortunately the royal blood of Queen Victoria has a bloody royalness in it... hemophilia. What is hemophilia? look it up on wikipedia (oohh it rhymes). But basically it is a genetic disorder  that stops your blood from coagulating, meaning; if you've been punctured or injured, you're blood will keep gushing out until you die of shock. Oh did you know that hemophilia is common in males and females are only carriers of this disorder? Thus we can say, In every man's doom there's a woman behind it.

So how did it shaken the royal houses?

In Russia, Nicholas II the emperor of Russia married Alexandra, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. They had 5 children: 4 girls and a boy. Unfortunately the only boy of the family is hemophiliac meaning he is weak and in every aspect very fragile, and that makes it more unfortunate for the Russian throne. The Russian empire only allows a male ruler thus Alexei, the son, the heir apparent of the Russian throne. Curing the disorder is one of the Empress' main goal which brings Rasputin into the picture. To make the long story short. Rasputin has a big role in the royal family of Russia. Many people don't like the fact that Rasputin is mingling with the affairs of the state and that the royal family allows it and it is also argued that he helped in discrediting the family thus leading to the fall of the Empire through a revolution, thus ending the Romanov Dynasty!

In Spain, Queen Victoria's granddaughter; Queen Victoria Eugenie of Battenburg married the King of Spain, King Alfonso XIII thus bringing hemophilia to the royal throne of Spain. They had 7 children, 1 stillborn, 6 males, and 1 female. Two of the boys, the eldest and the youngest are hemophiliac both of them died because of a minor injury which causes an internal bleeding. In addition to the drama in Spain, their second son Jaime refuse to take the throne because of his disability because of a childhood operation. Well anyways, these events weakens the power of the royal family to the Spanish government, not to mention Spain is having a revolution of her own. Because of the weaken family the Monarchy in Spain crashed.

Those are only two examples of how hemophilia affects the future. Many says that wars shaped the world to it's current state. But in my opinion; diseases shaped the earth more than anyone has ever done and wars is it's best adjunct.
